Why this costume?
When I first started getting into cosplay, my friend would call me 'Navi' as I would tell them constantly HEY LISTEN- YOU NEED TO WORK ON YOUR COSPLAY. Eventually it stuck, and I decided to actually cosplay the fairy that was inspiring my friends.
Though this was technically not my first ever gijinka, this was my first real time designing a more well-thought out Gijinka, as well as my second costume ever made. There were several drafts that went into coming up with the idea to try to tie it within the original fairies in the Legend of Zelda world. There were also a lot of firsts here- first working with dying wigs. First working with spandex. First working with sheer fabric. First figuring out how to hide wings without straps- ect ect. It's one of those costumes I always find myself coming back to time after time.
Years later though, people constantly ask if I'm Tinkerbell. Bitch's hair is blond and she wears green you morons.
