Why this costume?
Back in late 2015, I told myself I wanted to work on something challenging. Everyone was getting into Sakizou, and my then fiancé was having me watch FF6. Of all the characters Chere rung with me the most, and after some googling I stumbled on the Sakizou fanart. Sakizou did a whole lot of great work, and I decided to take on the endeavor.
Endeavor was right, as the costume took me on and off two years to get it done, and there were a lot of firsts that came with it. First time dying lace. First time working with embroidery software and an embroidery machine. First time making a non-hooped petticoat. First time doing rhinestones and beading. There were lots of trials, and failures involved with the making of this costume. The biggest thing I wanted to avoid was cutting corners for the sake of time.
Overall it was an ungodly project, but I was so happy with the results.
